There are numerous entry-level drones on the market. It is by far the most saturated price range out there with a wide variety of drones, all battling for their sales. With that in mind, the fact that there are so many unknown but good drones comes as no surprise. That’s pretty much what can be said about MJX Bugs 3. It is a relatively unknown drone but stands pretty good against its competitors in terms of price and performance. But, what’s so good about this entry level drone that I decided to make a review for it? Well, stick around till the end of it and you might just find out. Summary
THE GOOD : It's been plenty of time since I last saw a drone with such good specifications at such a low price. You can get a great performing drone for dirt cheap. It's a chance you should not miss, especially if you already own an action camera.
THE BAD : Even though some people might like the fact that MJX Bugs 3 does not come with a camera, I am still pretty sure that the majority will dislike it. Still, if you own an action camera, you will have no difficulties with mounting it on the drone and setting everything up.
BOTTOM LINE : If you already have an action camera and you would just like an easy to use drone for casual aerial photography, then MJX Bugs 3 might just be the right model for you. With great specifications, solid build quality and an excellent price tag to its name, MJX Bugs 3 seems like a solid choice across a wide variety of scenarios.
The first thing you will notice about this drone is its lack of camera. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, especially considering the fact it does come with full support for GoPro HERO cameras. Still, those of you who don’t possess one of these action cameras will find themselves most likely steering away from this model and opting for one with a camera.
Still, there is no doubt MJX Bugs 3 is a solid drone, and that’s just what I plan on explaining to you in the next couple of paragraphs. With that being said, let’s jump straight to its main specifications!

After taking a closer look at its main specifications, it is time to look into its features as well. Luckily, things don’t drop down from here onward since MJX Bugs 3 seems to be solid across all departments. With a whole plethora of useful features, this drone confirms its dominance in its price range. Still, I would like to see some more advanced features on an upgraded version of this drone (if they plan on making one in the near future) such as altitude hold, auto return to home, and GPS (highly unlikely for such a cheap drone though). Battery and flight range of MJX Bugs 3
MJX Bugs 3 possesses a solid 1800mAh battery. Don’t get me wrong – it is nothing special which means you cannot expect half an hour of flight time with it. But despite that, it can still perform pretty well and can last up to 20 minutes in air with moderate speed settings. Flight range is not to be taken for granted either. The drone communicates with its controller via the ever so popular 2.4Ghz frequency that has set itself as a real standard in the lower price ranges. MJX Bugs 3 is getting every last bit of juice from the connectivity method as it can go up to 500 meters away from its controller without losing signal. Don’t even think about going that far away from yourself with the drone without equipping the camera since you will not be able to see it from such a distance.
Brushless motors
As I have already mentioned in the introductory paragraphs, MJX Bugs 3 features excellent brushless motors. I am sure most of you are well aware of the fact that brushed motors are a thing of the past. They are unreliable and tend to break pretty often. Those are pretty much the main 2 reasons why more and more drone manufacturers are turning to fully fledged brushless motors for their new models. When it comes to MJX Bugs 3, it is important to add that it features the popular 1806 1800KV brushless motors. They are extremely power efficient (that explains how that 1800mAh battery can last up to 20 minutes) and greatly improve power transfer which makes them a perfect set for any budget friendly drone out there.

Packaging is always an important aspect of a drone, and nothing different stands for MJX Bugs 3. Even if a particular drone does not have superior performance, people might still buy it if they’ll get a bunch of additional accessories and spare parts in the packaging.
